You need to consider accessibility to your street or driveway when having a residential delivery as orders are typically shipped via full-size semi lorry. In the event that the delivery truck cannot get to your home, your order will need to be transferred to a smaller truck, if one is available (additional fees may apply, these will be paid directly to the carrier).

When Your Order Arrives
When your order arrives, you want to be sure the quantities match what you ordered. To guarantee customer satisfaction, please make note of the following when receiving your order.

Visually inspect the condition and entirety of your delivery, make sure to note missing items or damaged materials. The order confirmation email you received lists all the materials and quantities you ordered. You will need to examine the pallet and count each item to make sure everything ordered has been received.

Unless specifically requested (additional cost), all deliveries are curbside. This means that you (or someone able) must be home to take the material from the trailer to your home. The driver will only unload to the curbside and are not allowed to enter your home.

Once unloaded, it is recommended to store the flooring in the location where it is to be installed.

DO NOT let the driver leave until you have verified the material received is in good condition and that all material has been accounted for. Any damages or missing items must be noted on your delivery receipt. If not noted we are unable to process with any replacement products.

Cancellations and Returns
(Applicable for Internet Sales only). In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 you have the right to cancel your order, upto 7 days after you receive the goods. To cancel your order you must inform us either in writing, by phone 0113 8150 035 or by email: sales@quickoak.co.uk. We will arrange with you for the goods to be collected from the delivery address, and will then refund the total amount paid for the goods, less the cost incurred by us for collection (this cost is the charge made to us by the delivery company and will depend on the size of your order). All goods must be re-packed as they were received. Refunds will be made to the payment card that was initially used to make the purchase, within 28 days of cancellation.

Booking Trades People
Taking into consideration the many variables in deliverys, we strongly recommend that you do not book your installer until after you have received your order in its entirety. Manufacture times, weather, supply-demand conditions, and replacement delivery for damaged items are just some of the instances that may delay your order. Please schedule your install to ensure you have allocated time to receive your order. We can not be held liable for failure to meet scheduled install dates due to delivery. Delivery dates are approximates, and as such, can not be promised under any circumstance.

Product Guarantee
If you do not use a Damp Proof Membrane on ground floors, or if you do not use the correct underlay, or if you do not have the flooring fitted correctly, this will affect your guarantee.

Colours
The colour of goods may vary slightly from that shown on the website due to limitations of browser software and monitors.

Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including legal fees), arising out of your use of this site.

Background

Wood Flooring

Wood Flooring is normally a type of flooring made from the timber of hardwoods, or spruce or hard pine. There are two basic manufactured types of hardwood. Wood Flooring more often than not comes unfinished, and once it has been installed, it is sanded, then finished in the home. More modernly, the product can be pre-finished in a factory and sold as a complete Wood Flooring solution. Wood Flooring can make a living area or home llok much smarter, as there is a weighted feel to the wood that you do not get with laminate (plasticky feel) flooring. It is also more versatile when purchased with wood varnishes which enables you to change the colour of the Wood Flooring quickly and relatively inexpensively. Here at quick oak we specialise in Wood Flooring of all types, solid wood, hardwood and our speciality being oak flooring. We offer great prices and extremely fast UK delivery so feel free to browse around the site.

Real Wood Flooring and Solid Wood Flooring

Real Wood Flooring and Solid Wood Flooring are typically around 3/4" or 19mm thick, although some do come in 3/8" (10mm) or 5/16" (8mm) thicknesses. Real Wood Flooring and Solid Wood Flooring can be installed with a nail-down installation method over wood subfloors. Real Wood Flooring and Solid Wood Flooring however is susceptible to the effects of moisture and temperature, because hardwoods expand and contract with moisture and temperature changes in the atmosphere. Since Real Wood Flooring and Solid Wood Flooring expand and contract in the width of the grain, this type of hardwood flooring is not recommended to be installed over a concrete slab, unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer. There are some instances where 3/8"-thick solid hardwood can be installed on a concrete slab. Real Wood Flooring and Solid Wood Flooring has a great feel of quality to it as it is natural material and can add great value and asthetics to any home. We always recommend these types of floors over laminates and that is why we only stock the highest quality Real Wood Flooring and Solid Wood Flooring available in the UK for trade or public uses.

Oak Flooring

Rather than having one solid piece of Oak Flooring, the engineered hardwood method uses layers of Solid Oak Flooring veneer to create a product that can range in thickness from 3/8" or 8mm up to 9/16" or 14mm thick. The Oak Flooring can range in thickness depending on the manufacturer. In order to create an engineered hardwood, these veneer layers are stacked one on top of the other with the grain of adjacent layers oriented perpendicular to one other. Once the desired thickness is achieved, the Oak Laminate Flooring is cut into the correct board width. From there, Oak Flooring boards are then manufactured to have a tongue or groove on the edges. The final step is to add stain if necessary, and add a finish for quality and style. Also by doing this, the engineered Solid Oak Floor becomes less susceptible to the effects of moisture and temperature change, because wood expands and contracts in the width of the grain direction. We pride ourselves on our Oak Flooring here at Quick Oak as it is what we specialise in. You can find a vareity of widths, styles and finishes for Solid Oak Flooring in our products section and all of it comes with fast delivery across the whole of the UK. If you buy from us you can expect an extraordinary level of customer service all the way through the ordering process.
